Description

Here's the first part of a new commission I've been working on for klatuk4u. This commissions shows Jane from the Tarzan movie, this time wearing her iconic yellow dress. For this first part I added a background that's a bit more detailed than my backgrounds generally are; I felt like it was some good practise, since I rarely draw proper backgrounds and I feel like drawing this one helped a lot.

During the expedition with her father to find gorilla's, Jane suddenly spots a small monkey darting between the trees. Excited to finally see an animal in action she runs after it. Unfortunately as she approaches the bank of a small pond she trips over the root of a nearby tree.

OoO Ooh! I love the details in this piece. I like the water and the forest is drawn with those details! >w<

Here is a list of things you can improve on:

- I feel that the background beyond the trees makes the whole art piece looks like it's a movie set and that the background is one of those green screens. :/ Maybe add some simple and quick trees next time?

- The bushes and the grass's colors are so similar that it almost looks like the bushes are the grass but with lines around it. Maybe try a darker shade for the bushes?
